DANG. Phew. More screenshots! I now have the Classic Mode menu up and running to satisfaction!
Within Classic Mode you'll find three old favorites, your usual gauntlet of random character battles, various battles with hordes of faceless enemies I'm calling Voidlights for now, and of course, Training mode, where you'll get to beat up Bedroll, Sandbag's cousin.
The buttons pop up as you go up and down, otherwise they're in the background. The first and last options will take you to the Character Select screens, while the middle option will take you to the Multi Man option menu, then to character select.
And because I'm rather proud of all the work that went into the imagery for this one, I'm also uploading a 'clean' version without any of the buttons activated, and slightly larger.
Ay, and I'm in a bit of a conflict. I don't want to spoil myself for the newer Layton games, yet I want to make sure has enough tricks from the later games...
I suppose I'll stick with the trailers. Layton and Pandora's Box shows us he's an adept fencer, and Layton and the Last Time Travel shows off a slot-machine coin-firing gun he put together ^_^
Most of this other moves will rely on the user being clever to put Layton out of harm's way
